Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream - 55 & 58 Review

Well, you guys must be aware of the Miss Claire soft matte lip cream by now as they are very affordable and almost dupe of Nyx soft matte lip creams in terms of formulation. Now, I am going to share the swatches of the shade here, along with a quick review. To those who don’t know about it, Miss Claire is a brand that has a wide range of affordable makeup, and their bestseller are these soft matte lip creams. I am going to swatch the shade number and for you guys.

Price:

In stores, you can get it for Rs.150-200. They are available on many websites as well as on Instagram stores. I got it from Nykaa.

What is Miss Claire Lip cream?

It’s neither lipstick nor a gloss. It’s a lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte after it’s completely dry on the lips. They are cruelty-free and hypo-allergic.

Packaging:

Miss Claire's soft matte lip cream comes in a small cylindrical plastic bottle with a black lid. It comes with a stick applicator attached using which the lip cream is applied over the lips. The bottle is enveloped with an easy tearable transparent plastic seal. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the product.

Formulation and Staying power:

As the name suggests, Miss Claire soft matte lip cream is soft, light, rich, and creamy in texture. It takes about 2-3 minutes to give you a completely matte look on the lips. They are not like other matte lipstick that dries out your lips. It has a non-drying formula. However, it has got a chemical smell and that too strong which I don’t really like.

Staying power and transfer-proof?

They stay on lips for a good 3-4 hours. They can survive snacks or drinks but not any oily food. Like it will not completely disappear but would fade away from the middle of lips. After every meal re-application is needed. However, re-applying is not a tough job when it comes to Miss Claire soft matte lip cream as they can be wiped off easily with a wet wipe or water. Before turning complete matte it would obviously transfer. But once it’s matte, no they do not transfer much.

How is the pigmentation?

Well, the pigmentation depends on individual shades. You can see the swatches below. Both of them are going to be one swipe swatch. You can easily build up the color without drying out your lips.

Miss Claire soft matte lip cream shade 58

It’s a red and pink mixed colored shade. It will look good on all skin tones. However, it’s a perfect shade for medium, to deeper skin tone and perfect nude lipstick. One swipe will give you enough to flaunt for 3 hours. But you can definitely build up the color with this shade.

Miss Claire soft matte lip cream shade 55

It’s a cool tone shade. It looks gorgeous on almost all skin tones. It's a little bit dark for fair skin tones, but for medium, to deeper skin tones it’s a perfect cool-tone nude. It’s also said to be a dupe of Nyx soft matte lip cream- Rome shade.
