Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation - 128 Warm Nude Review

In an ever-growing market where new products are being launched every other day, Maybelline products have always been at the top of the line. Like most Maybelline launches, the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation range also wasn’t a disappointment. It quickly gained a wide fan base following its launch in India.

If you are a beginner at makeup, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is the best pick for you. Easy to apply, with great coverage and a smooth finish, the foundation comes in a wide range to match all skin tones. The shade I chose was 128 Warm Nude that went with my skin tone. Currently there are over 40 shades available in India for you to choose from. Its oil free gel based liquid formula blends perfectly giving a smooth finish. The foundation is light and breathable and doesn’t block pores. A great life saver for the hot Indian summer! Its oil free, wax free with a revolutionary 5-D pigment technology and SPF 18. The matte finish gives it a dewy, airbrushed look that compliments your natural skin tone.
Packaging:

The foundation comes in a chick rectangular glass bottle with a plastic black cap, makes it an instant attraction. The details on the cover are quite comprehensive and there’s no way you could possibly grow wrong in picking the right shade. However, there is no spatula provided unlike other foundations. The downside of the aesthetic packaging being it isn’t provided with a pump. Sometimes, pouring out the liquid can get clumsy as well as time consuming. However, if you are capable of smoothly pouring it out from the bottle, then you shouldn’t have any problem.

Texture:
The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation range offers a breathable and easy to blend collection. The foundation does not feel heavy on the skin and does not have any effect on sensitive skin. For me, it did not result in any acne or breakouts. The thick liquid formula allows you enough time for blending the foundation as it takes some time to settle down in your pores and turn matte. The foundation is lightweight and has minimum fragrance. It gives low to medium coverage and blends in effortlessly. The matte formula makes it a bit on the thinner side and the foundation is totally buildable. Smooth, and flawless, with excellent concealing of dark spots and acne, the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation range is a catch for anyone wanting a natural everyday look.
Application:
The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation can be applied using your fingers, a makeup sponge or a flat brush. All three give an even application very close to the natural highlights of the skin. Fingers give a low coverage; makeup sponge gives medium while flat brush gives high coverage. The 128 Warm Nude is very close to my skin tone and gives a natural poreless finish, true to its claim. For ladies with oily to combination skin this foundation is a boon as it gives an oil free matte look that has a 6-8 hours stay. For those with a dry skin the matte solution may stick to dry patches, so it is advisable to apply a moisturizer before starting off with the Fit Me Matte Foundation.

This shade is perfect for those with fair skin with yellow undertones.
Coverage:
The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – 128 Warm Nude blends in seamlessly and provides sheer to medium coverage. It does not conceal all dark spots and needs a concealer to compliment. The coverage is just right if you are seeking to achieve a natural everyday look. It does not appear as a white cast when photographed.
Pros:
1. It is lightweight and breathable.
2. Gives medium coverage perfect for everyday wear.
3. Provides a satin matte finish.
4. Photographs well and doesn’t look whitish.
5. Does not cause irritation to sensitive or acne prone skin.
6. Comes in a reasonable price range.
7. Conceals pores, fine lines and dark spots.
Cons:
1. The foundation needs a pump dispenser.
2. Spatula is not provided, and this may make application messy and lead to wastage.
3. Doesn’t provide a complete oil free finish for a matte foundation.
4. Packaging is not travel friendly.
My Verdict:
The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation – 128 Warm Nude is a reasonable and sensible choice for fair skinned Indian beauties to try out this summer. With a range specially catered to fit all Indian skin tones, you can be sure to find your pick from the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. Leaving aside a few downsides with the packaging and oil control, this foundation works well to compliment your everyday as well as occasion looks. Dewy, lightweight, smooth with a satin matte finish, the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation can be your best friend if you are seeking to achieve a natural look this summer. I would highly recommend it to ladies with oily to normal skin, on the hunt for an easy to use low cost foundation.
