Maybelline Color Sensational Diamond Eyeshadow Palette - Topaz Gold Review

Hello my lovely people out there! I don’t do eye makeup on a daily basis just a good amount of mascara is good to me. So, this is the only eye makeup palette that I own. It has got matte as well as shimmer shades that are appropriate for weddings or parties. I got the “Topaz Gold” shade from Maybelline New York Color Sensational Diamond Eyeshadow palette. Other than this they have the Rose Quartz shade. I picked it because of its warm colours and they compliment me the most.

Price:

INR 570 for 2.4 grams
Shelf Life:
2 years
Availability:
It’s easily available in stores and online websites.
Packaging:

The Maybelline New York Color Sensational Diamond Eyeshadow palette comes in a black coloured box which holds all the details. The box is see-through so can see all the shades from the box itself which is quite good. The lid of the palette fits really well and makes a click sound when you securely close it. This cute little palette is travel friendly. Also the palette comes with a dual sponge applicator, which is small and is of no use for me. Overall the palette looks good.
Shades Description:

It comes with 5 different shades, 4 shimmer and 1 matte shade. I really like the 3-D dimensional idea of this palette which makes it unique and different from others. The brand has itself named the shades as A, B, C, D and E. Let’s check all of them.
Shade A: It’s a beautiful shimmery shade looks kind of silvery golden to me as it contains micro golden shimmers to it. It’s good for highlighting your inner corner of eyes and brow bone. Pigmentation is average. It takes 2-3 swipes for the colour to show up.
Shade B: It’s my favourite colour. I really like its hexagonal shape. It’s like a dull golden shade looks like copper. It gives a subtle and gorgeous effect to the eye when applied. It’s one the highly pigmented shades from this palette.
Shade C: It is a shimmery brown shade with golden micro shimmers. Looks best on the crease line. Pigmentation is also good.
Shade D: It’s the darkest shade in the palette. The shade is matte black; however, it contains some micro shimmer to it but they are not visible when applied. It gives the colour in just one swipe.
Shade E: It’s a glittery golden shade. It looks good in the centre of the eye to give it a gradient effect. Its super pigmented and has a little fallout.
The texture of all these shades is soft and smooth. All of them glides easily on the eyes and doesn’t look patchy at all. Some of the shimmery shade could have been more pigmented as they take multiple swipes to show up the colour. The shades are not waterproof. The shades A, C and E have a little fallout. Overall, the shades will last 5-6 hours without primer and with it lasts up to 8 hours which is quite a good time. You need an oil based remover to get rid of these shimmer shades. The palette is great but the only issue I found is that the shades could have been more pigmented.
